Scope: Sep 2021                                                                                                                                                         Project Type: High-fi prototype for a smart selftanner mobile application

Role: UX/UI Designer                                                                                                                                                Tools: Figma, Illustrator

OBJECTIVE

Create a clickable prototype with animations & explain how we came up with our idea & why people would use this app.

PROBLEM

People have a hard time figuring out which self-tanner works best for them & their skin type, along with how to use it correctly.

USER RESEARCH SUMMARY

We first wanted to figure out what the main problems were with self-tanning and why people needed help. After reading through the many tanning horror stories, we then incorporated some solutions into our application which allowed users an easier way to understand which self-tanner works best for their skin tone as well as how to apply it correctly and come out radiantly.

PAIN POINTS

1. Risk centric choice

Users make a risk based assessment rather than a beauty based approach to product selection.

2. Capture metric

Write Users need an app that can not only get things done but learn about their individual references and adapt accordingly.

3. Undertone

Users are confused about their undertone: Both in terms of what undertone actually is and what their undertone is.
